Diaphragm Pile (Barrette)
Barrette/ Diaphragm Piles are made from piles of rectangular sections derived from one or more Diaphragm Wall panels. They can be used as foundation elements instead of large diameter piles.

Barrette Pile socketed in rock with the use of hydromill.
THE BARRETTE PILE CAN BE PERFORMED ON ALMOST ALL TYPES OF FORMATIONS, WITH ANY LEVEL OF WATER, IN SOIL OR ROCK, WITH THE USE OF THE HYDROMILL
When a large construction project involves heavy loads, Barrette Piles can be used as they present the following advantages:
- Immediate knowledge of all layers being drilled;
- Vibration free;
- Gradual adaptation of the pile to the physical conditions of the site due to the increase in lateral friction;
- Ability to reach great depths (up to 260 feets);
- Ability to install a pile in virtually all types of terrain, with any level of water;
- Can be socketed into rock up to ± 100 MPa and crossing boulders with use of the hydromill;
- Smaller volumes of concrete are required for concrete blocks.
